The MacBook Pro "Core i7" 2.3 13-Inch (2020, Scissor Keyboard, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports) technically is a "configure-to-order" configuration of the MacBook Pro "Core i5" 2.0 13-Inch (2020, Scissor Keyboard, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports), but also is documented as a separate model for reader convenience. Other than processor (and the corresponding L2 cache), these two models are identical.
The MacBook Pro "Core i7" 2.3 13-Inch (2020, Scissor Keyboard, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports) is powered by a 10-nm, 10th Generation "Ice Lake" 2.3 GHz Intel "Core i7" processor (I7-1068NG7), with four independent processor "cores" on a single silicon chip and a shared 8 MB level 3 cache. This notebook also packs 16 GB of onboard 3733 MHz LPDDR4X SDRAM (which could be upgraded to 32 GB at the time of purchase, but cannot be upgraded later), a default 512 GB or 1 TB of flash storage, and an integrated Intel Iris Plus graphics processor that shares system memory.
Externally, this notebook has an integrated 720p FaceTime HD webcam, a "new Magic Keyboard" with a "redesigned scissor mechanism... including 4 arrow keys in an inverted-T arrangement" as well as a customized "Touch Bar" with a separate esc key and a separate "Touch ID" sensor, and a gigantic "Force Touch" trackpad.
Additionally, it has a high-resolution LED-backlit 13.3" widescreen 2560x1600 (227 ppi, 500 nits) "Retina" display with True Tone technology, and a integrated battery that provides an Apple estimated 10 hours of runtime.
This notebook is sold in either silver colored aluminum or a darker "Space Gray" colored aluminum housing (but not other colors) and weighs just a bit more than 3 pounds (1.4 kg).
Connectivity includes 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, four "Thunderbolt 3" ports (USB-C connector), and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Compared to its predecessor, this model is dramatically different with a faster processor and architecture, more capable graphics, more RAM and default storage, and an all new keyboard design with better travel and that promises improved reliability, too.
